Things to bring when applying as a teacher in Thailand

Anyone who wants to apply for a teaching job in Thailand need to prepare their cover letter and resume.

Those who have no teaching degree can still apply for part time teaching post but would be required to have a TEFL certificate or TOEIC certificate.

TEFL and TOEIC are fairly easy and they can be taken in Thailand for a price range of 1,000 baht or more.

What to prepare:

At least 10 copies of 2x2 I.D, 1x1 I.D and a passport size I.D
( Almost every office here in Thailand including the immigration office would be asking for an I.D picture) Although there are some picture booths here in Thailand they will take some time to find and will usually cost 100 baht or 140 pesos for 4 copies only.

Clear folder to place documents as well as folders

( Everything is sold for wholesale in Thailand, it would be hard to find a store that only sells one or two folders, you would have to buy the entire set of clear folders that contains 10 or more and this could be costly.
In order to avoid this bring your own folders, make sure that they are strong enough and waterproof to protect your files.

At least 10 photocopies of your diploma certificate
There are photo copy centers here in Thailand but most of them are located near schools.
The cost is from 50 cents to 1 baht, they are usually very hard to find.
It would be better to arrive in Thailand with all of yoour documents photocopied already.

Photocopy:
Resume
Diploma
Any certificate you have including that of any paper that would attest your clearance from any office from your country of origin.
Photocopy of your passport ( Prepare at least as well for various purposes)
10 copies of your Transcript of record
Teacher's licence photocopy if there are any.
